"FacePR Or PRbook"? Who Cares!!! Those Two Are Made To Be Together

At this point, Facebook consists the most powerful social network service which uses software to build online social networks for communities of people who share interests and activities or who are interested in exploring the interests and activities of others. Even if, as my friend Ziggi said, facebook faces some problems... It is that power that PR practicionners want to conquer in order to craft message that will be seen from as many people as possible. One question remains: How?

Well, some practicionners saw opportunities in:
  1. Creating pages: anyone can create a “page” to promote a product, service, business, organization or person. This is a great way to get visibility in the Facebook community.
  2. The creation of affinity groups like in the case of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. (IPG) which is one of the big four global advertising holding companies and also the parent company of Universal McCann media agency and McCann-Erickson, one of the largest agency networks in the world.
  3. Creating personal brands: Here’s a great post about how San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom, has used Facebook to promote himself. His profile lists the causes he’s interested in, the groups he has joined and news he wants you to hear about.
  4. Blogging: if you add your blog to your profile, when you write a new post, it will pop up on the Facebook news feeds of your friends, which is a good way to let people know about the new post.

Even YouTube could not resist the temptation of exposing Facebook's immense possibilities
