Comics Podcast: "New PR Techologies For New Generations"

Comics have, for years and years, been considered "children's first best friend"! There was a time when most kids read comics - but these days, if they read any comics at all, they're reading ones from fifty years ago.

Back in 1944, the Journal of Educational Sociology conducted a survey that determined about 95 percent of boys and 91 percent of girls aged six to 11 in the United States read comic books. However, times have changed. Today, comics don't have the luxury of mass-newsstand distribution. There is, by and large, a higher median quality to the kid-oriented comics, but the ones that are being produced are bypassing their intended audience - and, in some cases, the comic book format altogether. Following that constant improvement, old children from back then have become adults. Nevertheless, the "addiction" has remained and, in somes cases, increased!

So how to cope with new wave of fans? Well, by making the comic industry more accessible through the world wide web with a site that could not only provide the neccessary informations written but in audio format!

The Comics Podcast Network (CPN) is a collection of the best comic book podcasts on the internet. Since May, 2005, the CPN has brought together over 20 podcasts that cover Marvel, DC, Independent comics, golden age, silver age comics, bronze age comics and modern age comics under one banner. In that site, comic fans can listen to upcoming stories of their favourite paper heroes and expect episode after episode new adventures!!!
